Yesterday afternoon, after a year long battle with stage 4 lung cancer, my oldest brother, David, passed away peacefully.

I will be taking a short break from blogging to spend time with my family. Thank you to everyone who has offered kind words of support and prayers for my brother and my family over the past months.

  9. Losing a loved one is so devastating. Its like a part of your heart goes with them, that's how I felt when my 35years old brother passed away in february.I am so sorry for your loss.

  37. Karen, I'm so sorry to read this. Although this must be an incredibly trying time for your family, at least your brother is finally at peace. My mother-in-law if fighting a losing battle with a very aggressive form of cancer. It's such a terrible disease and takes people far, far too young. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
