I fell hopelessly in love with the fun runner of paper flowers in the image above. Big impact, low price tag if you make your own. Martha Stewart has provided a number of tutorials for creating flowers from a variety of inexpensive supplies, including some pretty impressive looking paper roses fashioned from, of all things, coffee filters.

A vase filled with a dozen of any of these flowers, all created in the same color, would be a perfect accent on your desk at work. Best of all, no water necessary!

How fun! The coffee filter roses are so beautiful! Those must have taken a lot of work to paint. So pretty, though!
ReplyDeleteWhoa those poppies and peonies are out of this world! Are they easy? Because I have the arts and crafts skill level of a 5th grader.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I love those!! Very pretty.

I feel certain mine would not look like that!
ReplyDeleteKaren I could hardlly believe my eyes when I saw the image of the coffee filter roses with the soft tips of color. These are amazing. I remember making paper roses years ago out of tissue paper, I forgot about that until I saw this post. Very fun and the first image is definitely a keeper, Happy weekend,Kathysue
ReplyDeleteNever would have thought to use a coffee filter that way! Cool idea.
ReplyDeleteThat runner is so gorgeous!! I wish there were a tutorial, I would love to (try to) make some!
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing looking. I love that paper runner with the flowers scattered across it. You've just inspired me with a great idea for my daughter's upcoming birthday party. That is so perfect for the table. Have a great weekend...Carol
ReplyDeleteLiz-sorry, the site where I found the image did not have a tutorial, but I'm sure any of the other flowers shown would look equally nice used as a runner.
ReplyDeleteI just love the flowers done by EmersonMade in the first image with the table runner. She is so darn creative!
ReplyDeleteYou are right! No water is the best part!
ReplyDeleteWow these are much prettier than I imagined. It brings me right back to me and my Mom making kleenex flowers to decorate my brother's car for his wedding, back when I was 13! I must say these are much nicer.
ReplyDeleteThese flowers are beautiful. I've seen a few little girls' rooms with the and they're so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI also liked the eat stenciled napkins!
Those images give new meaning to paper flowers! They are like pieces of artwork. Super lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'm still a fan of fresh, but I love how those are displayed on the table. They aren't meant to imitate real but are to be appreciated for what they are.
ReplyDeleteAh! They're gorgeous! Bookmarking this now...
ReplyDeleteHow pretty!!! These would be such a fun project to make!
