Wendy used a patio table from Target as a coffee table and garden urns to dress up her dining room table.
Let's hear from Wendy now.
Wow!
Wow!
What a complete pleasure it is to be a part of Karen's most beautiful blog today. Thank you so much, Stictly Simple Style Let me introduce myself. I'm Wendy from
Simply Brookes: I'm new at this blog thing but, boy, do I love visitors. Stop on over if you can. I am delighted to humbly offer "my favorite space" here on Strictly Simple Style.
You see, we are a military family. We were transplanted from San Diego (my beloved home town) to our nations' capitol just about a year ago. So I had to kick it in high gear and create a warm, inviting home for the fam and me, and quick. Lo and behold, I think I've achieved that. If I had to pick a fave spot in my home, I do believe this would be it.

The living room: It's airy, light, cozy and quaint. (At least I think it is.)

I've got a lot of hodge podge furniture but after some home made slip covers and a coat of paint here and there, I think it works!
See those stiped pillows? Yeah. Those on the loveseat? Just made those... that's me getting ready for spring.

.
Over there is what we call our
"Reading Corner."
You can often find one of my daughters and
their latest read curled up here hiding under the covers.
This is, for sure,
the fave reading spot in the house.
Without a doubt.
Well, that's it, folks.
My favorite space.
Hope you enjoyed the tour.
Again,
would love to say hi to you over at

Karen,
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe that's me up there! Thank you a million times over for the grand opportunity. You are the best. So grateful.
Enjoy your day...I know I will.
Wendy
I think I need a cozy reading corner too. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWendy has done a great job with her pieces and her neutral color scheme. Love her black and white stripes and the pop of color. I think a reading corner is needed in every home and hers looks warm and inviting. Thanks for the intro Karen, I will hop on over to meet Wendy, Happy Tuesday KS
ReplyDeleteI love the rooms! I wish I had a reading corner! So nice to meet Wendy =)
ReplyDeleteWendy has done fabulous job, I love how she used an outdoor table and brought it indoors. I did that with an outdoor bench I bought at Costco of all places, and it works in our living room.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us! :)
Love the cozy reading corner!
ReplyDeleteThe styling is spot on, and I am in love with the reading nook with that chaise!
ReplyDeletei am inspired to create a reading nook! thanks much.
