Artist Catherine Nolin

While hunting for affordable art recently, I stumbled upon the Etsy site of artist Catherine Nolin and was so taken with the style of her paintings that I ended up ordering two prints, reproductions of her original paintings.

In her own words, Ms. Nolin has this to say about her work:

"I think about color all the time. Visualizing combinations of color, pattern, and design is what inspires me to paint. I have chosen interiors, room portraits, as my subject matter. Through the use of familiar objects, I create moments in time that, I hope, have meaning for the viewer. Much of my inspiration comes from the exquisite designs found in the natural world and from spirituality."

Catherine Nolin's work was been on exhibit throughout the Northwest and is currently being considered as set design for a new Warner Bros. movie starring Ben Affleck.

See more of Catherine Nolin's work by visiting her website or to purchase paintings or signed prints stop by her Etsy shop.

  4. Thank you so much for the introduction! I love these! The colors are amazing. Which did you choose? That first one with the brown orange and blue looks like the colors you are considering for your living room, no?

  7. Ooh la la. Thanks for the heads up on this one. I was unfamiliar with her but her work reminds me a bit of Thomas McKnight.
